The presentation of Samsung's new models - the Galaxy S8 and the S8+, attracted world attention for the expected promises of equipment safety, following the failures of Note 7. DJ Koh, chairman of the Mobile Communications unit of Samsung Electronics, said the new devices "are our testimony to regain confidence by redefining what is possible in security, and marks a new milestone in Samsung's legacy of smartphones."
To go on the market, the Galaxy S8 and S8 + went through eight instances of battery verification. In terms of user data security, they have Samsung Knox and biometric technologies such as fingerprint scanner, and iris and facial recognition.
The expectation was also set in the team's artificial intelligence assistant, Bixby, which will initially be available from a special button on the side of the phone, in Korean and English (United States). In yesterday's presentation of the S8 more emphasis was placed on the visual qualities of Bixby - for example, the possibility of recognizing a certain building in the user's environment - over voice assistance.
