The ruling by the Supreme Court implies that the company, and probably the rest of the fixed and mobile telephone companies, will have to pay the prevailing operator an interconnection tariff different from that decided by the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT, for its Spanish acronym) in 2015 "The IFT will have to apply for the year 2015 the same interconnection rate that Telcel paid its competitors from August to December of that year, which was US$ 0.01, and not the US$ 0.02 it paid from January to August of that year.
The Court has nine appeals filed by América Móvil against interconnection fees pending, which will be referred to collegiate courts for resolution.
