The company requested an arbitration against the Colombian State before the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), which depends on the World Bank for the arbitration award that forced it to disburse US$555.2 million last year. At the time, Telefónica paid what was scheduled within two weeks imposed by the Colombian State but warned that once fulfilled the legal deadline, February 1, it would present a complaint before the ICSID.
