ITU Forum and the Ministry of Modernization to debate on the role of IA and IoT in overcoming urban challenges

On May 29 and 30, the 1st Forum on Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things in Smart Sustainable Cities in Latin America will take place in Buenos Aires, organized by the Ministry of Modernization of Argentina, ITU (International Telecommunications Union) together with UNESCO , ECLAC, UNIDO, CITEL, COMTELCA and ASIET. Specialists from the AI sector, Intelligent Sustainable Cities and IoT, urban planners, policy makers, engineers, designers, government officials, regulators and academics will discuss issues at UCA’s (Argentinean University of Buenos Aires) headquarters on the contribution of artificial intelligence and the IoT in solving the challenges of cities.

Mariana Rodríguez Zani, director of Convergencia Research and Convergencialatina, will moderate the panel "Intelligent Production, Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0", which will take place on Tuesday, May 29 at 11.

América Móvil's earnings fell 55% due to peso strength

It reached US$ 790 million in the first quarter of the year. Total revenues and Ebitda were also affected by the extraordinary income from the sale of towers, which boosted the result of a year earlier. Total mobile subscriptions grew 3.6% year-on-year to 311.6 million lines. Fixed UGIs totaled 74.1 million, 1% more than a year earlier.
