Colombia ICT Roadmap not to be changed with next Government

"The road map was thought for a State and not for a Government. As the CRC remains, it is us who have to get next government to be empowered with that road map. It is our duty to explain it. I trust that, as it is properly drafted, there will be no changes or resistance", explained to Convergencialatina Germán Darío Arias, Executive Director of the Colombian Regulatory Commission (CRC). Este domingo se define el ballotage entre Iván Duque y Gustavo Petro. The ballotage between Iván Duque and Gustavo Petro is defined this Sunday.

The official mentioned some of the advances made on the roadmap, such as the Structural Committee, whose members will be completely renewed after the change of government, or the new definition of broadband, which will begin to be applied in Medellín.

"There is still nothing, but we asked them to propose to us what to do and what the blackout would be like. It's something that has to be done, the cost of maintaining that network is enormos", he said.
