Movistar had executed 80% of its US$ 422 million annual investment plan at the end of September

The operator reported that it is implementing an expansion plan for its fixed and mobile telecommunications networks in all regions of the country. At the mobile network level, four 4G antennas are being installed per day in new and existing sites, representing 60% more than in 2017. In addition, the 4.5G mobile network is being implemented progressively in Peru. In fixed networks, it is deploying ultra-broadband services (with speeds of up to 200 Mbps) to connect 3.7 million homes in more than 4,000 neighborhoods throughout the country. The Fiber Optic Home Network has already reached 28 cities. Movistar said that from 1994 to date it has invested more than US$ 9 billion in infrastructure.
