Changes in premises for new service quality regulation

The proposal for a new regulation on the quality of services prepared by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) provides for the possibility of establishing reference values and not specific targets to be met, in addition to setting monitoring cycles and obligations to be complied with by operators.

The Superintendent of Planning and Regulation of Anatel, Nilo Pasquali, said that the new regulation of quality of services would be ready for next July and the changes that are being made are based on three premises: giving more voice to the consumer, stimulating investments and allowing that in each municipality the consumer knows which is the company that offers the best quality for the different telecommunication services.
