WeDo: 5G will require security, fraud prevention and income assurance to work in an integrated way

This was stated by Bernardo Lucas, CMO of WeDo Technologies, in dialogue with Convergencialatina. 5G will increase the complexity due to network slicing and the number of connected devices, among other factors, so in WeDo we aim to an integrated solution that allows managing security, fraud prevention and income assurance.

For the executive, 5G will not solve everything related to customer experience on its own and will demand that certain factors, such as storage and edge capabilities, evolve. This, in turn, will require a large amount of data analytics to achieve the potential of 5G.

Another key factor in the evolution towards the next mobile generation has to do with network slicing: although it will allow to offer different applications on the same network, it will force those services to be correctly delivered and subsequently invoiced. To address this point, WeDo developed its Dynamic Slice Assurance line.

As part of its announcements in the MWC19 WeDo also presented the product EDGE Assurance, an orchestrator that determines on which occasions it is more convenient to move the IT capabilities towards the edges to bring them closer to the customer and in which to do it centrally.
