The Director of Fixed Operations of América Móvil, Oscar Von Hauske, said that by the end of this year the Claro Brasil group will add 1.5 million new homes with fiber optic coverage (FTTH).
At present, the company has 9.5 million accesses to fixed broadband, of which 9.24 million are cable (97.3% of the total), while the rest is fiber optic.
In this regard, Hauske said that "we know that all our competitors are also betting on fiber, but we also have our infrastructure", adding that small operators have grown rapidly but in areas where Claro is not present.
