Netflix insists it won’t move into selling advertising despite investor pressures

The CEO of the streaming television platform, Reed Hasting, ratified his subscription business model despite the insistence of the advertising lobby that looks forward to the possibility of the company opening its doors.

The executive considered that the leaders of the advertising market are going to be Google, Amazon and Facebook so “it is quite difficult” for Netflix to succeed in such a company. "We have a much simpler model, focused on customer transmission and pleasure," said Hasting.
