The operator Claro announced that next week it will activate its 5G network in certain neighborhoods in the cities of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, for which it will use dynamic spectrum sharing technology, created by Ericsson, which is capable of managing frequencies automatically.
The CEO of Claro's Consumer unit, Paulo César Texeira, indicated that the operator will use the 2.6 GHz frequency, in which the company has the 20 + 20 MHz configuration available (half the capacity for upload and half for data download) with 4 x 4 MIMO. The 4.5 G service will continue with the aggregation capacity of the carriers, for which it will also use 700 MHz and 1.8 GHz spectrum.
