TIM President Pietro Labriola announced that the company will launch its 5G service during the month of September, under an FWA model, in three cities and in areas where it does not have a presence with fiber optics.
The cities chosen for the launch are: Bento Goncalves (Rio Grande do Sul), Itajubá (Minas Gerais) and Tres Lagoas (Mato Grooso do Sul), with equipment supplied by Nokia, Ericsson and Huawei, who will use the current 4G bands to 5G service.
