INVAP manufactures other satellites while waiting for ARSAT-3

SAOCOM 1A and 1B will be in orbit in 2018. They are part of a project that makes up the National Space Plan of the Comisión Nacional de Actividades Espaciales (CONAE) (National Space Activities Commission) in collaboration with the Agencia Espacial Italiana (ASI) (Italian Space Agency).

Participants of the Satellite Symposium organized in May by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Bariloche were literally astounded during their visit to INVAP. The state-owned Rio Negro company responsible for manufacturing the ARSAT I and II satellites received praise from the entire delegation, led by Yvon Henri, head of the ITU-R Satellite Services department.
