The decision to promote the elimination of roaming in the region was the most showy of the proposals put forward by the Inter-American Telecommunications Commission (CITEL) in its declaration of Buenos Aires, corresponding to the 7th Assembly of the entity, which was held last week. CITEL seeks to follow the path of the European Union, although so far, it is a declaration of principles, beyond which Claro has already eliminated roaming among its Latin American clients.
