Latin America is expecting a possible commercial war between the United States and China, intensified in June with the imposition of a new tariff of 25%, by the US government on industrial imports from China. In March, President Trump had advanced that the United States would impose tariffs of 25% on 1,300 Chinese products for US$ 50 billion. 70% of these goods belong to three major sectors: components of nuclear reactors, electrical machinery and optical equipment. On the other hand, the Chinese response was to evaluate the possibility of establishing tariffs of 25% on soybeans, cars and others imported US products worth US$ 50 billion.
