Smallsats promise to solve the lack of capacity, but we will have to wait

In the satellite industry the announcements of constellations of small satellites of low orbit, which will go up in space with the promise of bringing services to the entire planet and meet the demand for higher speeds, lower costs and the difficulty of arriving with services to remote areas echoes. However, the possibility that these new constellations can solve the lack of capacity that the market currently suffers continues.

According to a Euroconsult report on the prospects of the small satellite market, the number of smallsats that will be launched into space, at a rate of 580 per year, represents six times more than the 1,200 devices that were placed in orbit in the last decade. The 7,000 small satellites have a value of US$ 38 billion, an amount that includes manufacturing and launching.
