While there are several initiatives to create a national Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy, Mexico is the only country in Latin America that formally presented clear action to promote its development, adoption and use. Uruguay identified four pillars within its objectives in this area, which includes within its Digital Agenda: the inclusion of AI in public administration, the ability to develop it, its use and its application and the digitalization of citizenship. In Argentina, the government presented through the Ministry of Science and Technology a call to define the National Plan of Artificial Intelligence 2020-2030, which includes other topics such as blockchain, Internet of things (IoT) and big data and a bilateral cooperation with France, South Korea and Canada.
