Health cloud exceeds 3.06 million federated people and to be crucial in Covid-19 vaccination

The interoperability bus of the Ministry of Health has 41 domains and more than 21,500 people who share them. One of its first practical applications was the E-Medical Record. As Fernando Núñez, National Director of Health Governance and Integration, told Convergencia, today about 500 facilities already have interoperable EHR implemented, and for the next few years about 4,000 more are expected to join.

The heart of the Federal Digital Health Program, renamed as "Impulsa" as of last November, is the health information cloud or interoperability bus: this channel allows different databases of the public and private health system in Argentina - fragmented and highly diverse - communicate with each other. It gathers information from the Renaper, the provincial systems, the Sumar program, the Nomivac vaccines program, private effectors and Anses, among other actors. As explained by Fernando Núñez, National Director of Health Governance and Integration, it allows, through the implementation of interoperable resources, to transmit the summary of the Histora Clínica Electrónica, HCE (E-Medical Record), unequivocally identify the person, consult the health history, and prescribe prescriptions. And it will grow in services as new platforms are added -teleconsultation, for example- and public and private establishments.
