First collection of the tax on digital platforms reached US$ 62.8 million

This tax began to be applied on June 1, and this week the Internal Revenue Service delivered the first balance that includes June, July, August and September. The Revenue Service reported that the list of those who paid the most VAT to foreign digital platforms is led by Google and Netflix, followed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, owner of the online gaming platform PlayStation. In fourth place is Facebook and in fifth Spotify. Microsoft and Amazon in sixth and seventh place, respectively; Zoom in eighth position and Valve, video game creator and owner of the Steam online store, in ninth, Uber closes the ranking, in tenth place.

América Móvil's earnings fell 55% due to peso strength

It reached US$ 790 million in the first quarter of the year. Total revenues and Ebitda were also affected by the extraordinary income from the sale of towers, which boosted the result of a year earlier.
