Prysmian to supply 770 km of submarine cables for the Amazon River

The Prysmian Group will be in charge of supplying 770 kilometers of submarine cables to be used in the Connected North Program, which the Ministry of Communications launched in September 2020.

The cables to be used contain 48 G652D optical fibers, which will allow 100 Gbps channels: they will be manufactured in Germany and installed in the bed of the Amazon River.

América Móvil's earnings fell 55% due to peso strength

It reached US$ 790 million in the first quarter of the year. Total revenues and Ebitda were also affected by the extraordinary income from the sale of towers, which boosted the result of a year earlier.
