VTR launches its TV Plus service in partnership with HBO but Subtel will officiate it for eliminating channels

As part of the agreement signed at the beginning of 2020 with HBO and Warner Media, the operator has launched VTR Plus, which will mix the traditional platform with an online version, seeking to face competition from streaming. Shortly after announcing the new service, it was learned that the Undersecretariat of Telecommunications will officiate VTR for eliminating MTV and Universal channels. Several Viacom signals will no longer be part of the grid, such as MTV Hits, MTV Dance, MTV Live, VH1 Latino and VH1 Megahits; and NBCU, with channels Universal, Studio Universal and SyFy.
