The challenge of data processing in digital transformation versus 5G and IoT

A virtual workshop held today by SQream and Convergencialatina detailed how operators can maximize their competitive advantage using 5G data, through solutions that allow handling a greater amount of data with the minimum cost.

For SQream, provider of a data analysis acceleration platform, 90% of the accumulated data of the companies is not analyzed and therefore, without achieving the benefits of knowing the customer -or even the network-, and with this, to reduce support and maintenance costs and to prevent fraud or security attacks.

Amid digitization accelerated by the new normal and 5G deployments, telecom data volumes are moving to unprecedented levels as operators are focused on maximizing revenue quickly. By way of comparison, it is estimated that the impact of 5G will be 10 times greater compared to the jump that 4G had in terms of billing revenues. This, in turn, will catalyze the growth of the IoT, already present in all countries in the region.

Claudio Nijamkin, Sales VP of Sqreamtech for CALA, remarked that it will be key for operators to implement these tools in the scenario that 5G networks will bring. The executive stressed that mobile operators will face intense competition and will seek ways to offer subscribers better quality of service, more personalized offers and better customer service.

Available both on-premises and in the cloud, SQream's platform provides companies with important business intelligence from massive amounts of data. Today, companies in Europe, Asia and North America already use it to analyze data faster and more deeply to achieve higher performance and in turn, a smaller environmental footprint, with cost savings and the ability to scale the amount of analyzable data to hundreds of terabytes.
