The Central Reserve Bank released two documents in the consultation phase entitled “Technical standards to facilitate the application of the Bitcoin Law” and “Guidelines for the authorization of the operation of the digital wallet platform for bitcoins and dollars.” The Bitcoin Law, the Banking Law, the Central American Payment and Settlement Systems Treaty were taken into account, and compliance with FATF provisions is also sought.
