Gilat Satelite Networks announced that it has received a contract to provide broadband services in Cusco and that it will entail US$ 12 million. Gilat will provide operation and maintenance for a period of three years to the regional broadband transport network.
Gilat is responsible for ensuring high-performance Internet service on more than 2,000 kilometers of fiber optics, including more than a hundred communication nodes and data centers.
Gilat previously received a US$ 13 million contract from Pronatel to connect hundreds of public Wi-Fi sites throughout Peru, and another to build and implement mission-critical telecommunications systems for 29 districts of the country.
