The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) reported that until January 21, telecommunications operators (Claro, Bitel, Movistar and Entel) will be able to send a list of localities in neglected rural areas where they could install telecommunications antennas, through of the type of canon for coverage 2022.
This modality allows operators to allocate up to 40% of the payment they make for the use of the radioelectric spectrum to the installation of more telecommunications infrastructure in rural areas that lack digital connection.
Recently, the MTC approved and published a list of rural locations that have no Internet signal or cellular coverage, and a second list with areas that only have a 2G signal.
