FonNet Networks, representative of Precision Optical Technologies in Brazil, announced to Convergencialatina its expansion plan in the region, starting this year with operations in Colombia and from there, aiming to provide services in the markets of Chile, Uruguay and Ecuador. The company, specialized in optical solutions for high capacity networks, seeks to capitalize on the growth of the data center market in the region.

Executives highlighted that Brazil currently has 160 data centers and they project this number will quadruple in the next three years. The company has launched optical solutions reaching 100 Gbps and 400 Gbps, as well as DWDM systems.
