Satellite Map Day 2025

For Satellite Services, LEO is a Game-Changer – Transforming the industry and user expectations

Eduardo Lema, the company’s president, participated this week in the panel dedicated to low Earth orbit (LEO) at the event. “In any multi-orbit solution, we will almost certainly have a LEO constellation. Initially, it was just about GEO-LEO, but now, as the market matures, we’re seeing new multi-orbit offerings like GEO-MEO or LEO-LEO, among others,” he stated.

“Except in rare cases, users no longer expect to be offered a specific constellation, but rather integrated orbit solutions. Availability and reliability have increased,” he emphasized.

In response to recent policy changes that introduced quota limits for LEO, the executive called for tools that allow users to understand “where they stand” and how much they will have to pay for the service.
