Google Cloud’s event is taking place from today through Friday in Las Vegas, where, as Convergencialatina learned in an exclusive preview for the press, the company will unveil developments aimed at agentic enterprises. Among them is the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, designed to build, orchestrate and govern fleets of autonomous agents with persistent memory capabilities and agent-to-agent orchestration.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, explained during a virtual press briefing that AI users are undergoing a shift in behavior. “They are moving from using models to ask questions, to requesting the execution of tasks. We call this the ‘agentic transformation’. The first step with agents is accessing context, understanding a company’s business context, and understanding enterprise data,” he said.
In terms of infrastructure, Google Cloud Next ’26 will feature the introduction of 8th-generation TPUs, in two variants: 8t for training and 8i for inference.
Also showcased at the event will be Agentic Data Cloud—a new AI-native architecture with tools for data to power agents at global scale—Agentic Defense with Wiz, a cybersecurity platform for autonomous protection from code to cloud, and Workspace Intelligence, including features such as “Drive Projects” and “AI Inbox” in Gmail, which acts as a proactive assistant.
Among the Latin American success stories featured at the event are Mercado Libre, Kavak, Alpura and Chopo.
