Mexican businessman Tomás Milmo Santos is seeking to take control of Axtel, the telecommunications and information technology operator he co-founded in 1994, and its holding company, Controladora Axtel.
Through special-purpose vehicle 4 Tech Plus, Milmo and a group of Axtel shareholders plan to launch a tender offer for up to 100% of the shares they do not own.
