Inmarsat launches I-4 F3 satellite

Inmarsat has launched the satellite Inmarsat-4 F3, the third of the constellation I-4, whose total investment reached US$ 1.5 billion. The satellite was launched with the vehicle Proton Breeze M and was located in the 98 degrees west orbital position.

With the I-4 F3, Inmarsat will reach 100% global coverage for mobile broadband services. The current constellation of two satellites, Inmarsat-4 provides services to 85% of the world's mass and covers 98% of the world's population. In 2007, Inmarsat revenues reached US$ 576.5 million, operating results US$ 211.4 million and EBITDA US$ 388.1 million.
