5G landing of  in Argentina, scheduled for at least the second half of 2022, added to IoT and artificial intelligence, will be the enhancers of a hybrid data center architecture, with an increasing predominance of the Edge, that is, of centers placed at the edge of the network at a shorter distance from the end user. The truth is that hyperscale data center projects choose other countries in the region to establish themselves –Chile is the favorite, followed by Colombia and Mexico, with recent projects from Google, Oracle, Microsoft-, which is why they will predominate in Argentina in the next Edge-type installations for two to three years, in certain cases linked to larger data centers in neighboring countries.
