The PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) indicator is used to measure the energy efficiency of a Data Center. It qualifies the performance of the center based on the relationship between the energy it demands and the energy actually used by the computer equipment in isolation. The design, occupancy rate and outside temperature of a Data Center affect the PUE obtained.
