Claro and Liberty dominate market and T Mobile bets on 5G

Having concluded government support due to the demands of the pandemic, operators' income fell in 1Q. Mobile services are growing and complaints about poor broadband service are on the rise.

At the pace of progress in the deployment of 5G coverage in Puerto, operators play their chips to attract customers. The voice market in Puerto Rico closed March with 4.49 million lines, of which 3.76 million corresponded to mobile services. 72% of mobile accesses are offered under contract, while the rest is prepaid.
