Government puts artificial intelligence at center stage

Javier Milei's officials promise a roadmap to turn the country into a global AI hub. They consider the local human resources, in addition to the possibility offered by geography and highlight the need to combine efforts between the private sector, the state and academia. Among the objectives is the implementation of AI in public management. And there would be no willingness to develop a specific regulation for AI.

Transforming Argentina into a hub for technological innovation and, particularly, artificial intelligence (AI), is one of the central objectives of Milei's administration. This vision was evident during the First AI Week, held at the Science Cultural Center. Officials from various ranks and sectors took the stage to promote the idea of establishing a fourth global AI hub in Argentina—following the European Union, China, and the United States.
