The sector wants IoT to be out of Anatel’s scope and for it to have a special tax regime

The various actors that compose the telecommunications scenario in Brazil have presented their responses to the public consultation on IoT launched by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Communications. In their considerations they ask to understand the particularities of the IoT ecosystem to define specific taxations and regulations.

In the replies to the public consultation on the Internet of Things (IoT), launched by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Communications (MCTIC, for its Spanish acronym) which culminated yesterday, different associations that group companies of the sector and large Telecommunications companies presented their comments.
