The Ministry of Modernization pursues the goal of making the state paperless, cutting staff, streamline bureaucracy, activating e-government and moving to smart cities. President Mauricio Macri set those ambitious goals. At the beginning of the administration, they implemented the Electronic Document Management System (GDE, for its Spanish acronym), made up of the modules of Official Documents Electronic Generator (GEDO, for its Spanish acronym), Remote procedures (TAD, for its Spanish acronym) and the Electronic File (EE, for its Spanish acronym). The objective was to implement the plan in the City of Buenos Aires, and in this way brought main players as Amazon, Google and Microsoft which took over and left local software companies out of the game, according to the industry.
