Prysmian estimates a drop up to 5% in consumption of optical cables in Latin America this year

Juan Mogollón, CEO of the firm in the region, told Convergencialatina that in 2020 the demand in the telecommunications market could remain stable or fall by up to 5% due to the impact of the pandemic. Prysmian has four product plants for the Telecom sector in Latin America (2 in Brazil, 1 in Argentina and 1 in Mexico). At the end of July, the first cable delivery was made for the CFE in Mexico, one of the central projects of its current activity.
