MinTIC assigns low band spectrum to 18 companies

The ICT Ministry advanced in the Objective Selection Process for the allocation of permits to use the radio spectrum, completing the first cut of Low Bands. In this process, 18 permits were granted to companies to use HF, VHF and UHF frequencies. The beneficiary companies, which operate in sectors such as transportation, communications, commerce, energy, agriculture and security, have their headquarters in Bogotá, Medellín, Yumbo, Santa Marta, Seville, Charalá and Neiva.

Additionally, the evaluation report of the second allocation cut-off for High Bands (SHF and EHF) was published, in which the six applications received from two companies were rejected. Interested parties can send comments on this report until May 23 via email minticresponde@mintic.gov.co. Both reports are available on the ICT Ministry microsite.
