Ariel Graizer, president of CABASE, opened Internet Day 2025 this morning at the Buenos Aires Convention Center. He welcomed the stabilization of the exchange rate and the signs of deregulation, although he warned that unresolved issues remain: “We want to discuss the role of Arsat, mobility for all providers, the use of WiFi 6 and 7, a regulatory review that addresses the asymmetries of the ecosystem, and ensures competition and participation of small and medium-sized operators,” he stated, among other points, while emphasizing that consensus is the only path forward.
The head of CABASE warned that there will be no artificial intelligence, smart cities, or development in Vaca Muerta without the networks to support them. “We are an industry that enables development. We must build public policies with a federal perspective and strategic vision,” he concluded.
