The executive pointed out certain barriers to e-commerce in Argentina. First, he mentioned tax withholdings at the time of payment. “Seventy percent of new sellers who become formalized return to informality within two months because of this. Ninety percent of SMEs and entrepreneurs disagree with the current tax structure, either due to the costs or the web of complexities it entails,” he noted.
