Ruling against Google over its advertising business, new blow to Big Tech.

This follows a ruling of last year against its monopoly in the search engine case and another that begins this week. Google will appeal the ruling, but has not ruled out moves to satisfy the demands of the US Executive Branch and European regulators.

In the US Federal Court's view, Google illegally dominates two online advertising technology markets, representing a huge setback for the tech giant, as the ruling paves the way for US antitrust prosecutors to request the breakup of its advertising businesses.
