The state YLB (Bolivian Lithium Deposits) and the Chinese company TBA-Baocheng have signed a "preliminary agreement" to construct lithium industrialization plants in the Coipasa and Pastos Grandes salt flats.
The assembly of the lithium industrialization plant in Coipasa will require an investment of US$ 1.32 billion and in the case of Pastos Grandes, US$ 1.07 billion. These factories are expected to produce boric acid, pure bromine and sodium bromide.
