Reverse with a "fake news" project in the Senate

The Federal Senate did not discuss Bill 2,630 / 2020 on the fight against “fake news” yesterday, since the head of the project, Alessandro Vieira, decided to withdraw it due to the divergence that arose among the leaders of the main parties.

It should be noted that before its treatment in plenary, the project had already received 62 amendments and one of them was from Vieira himself who wanted to replace his initial project with a completely new one, which did not include the possibility of excluding content by platforms with the intervention of independent verifiers.
