Subtel reports pressure of Wom to release spectrum in 700 MHz

Undersecretary of Telecommunications Pamela Gidi was emphatic in her presentation to the Senate, in which she disbelieved Wom's argument as to how the lack of spectrum affects them. Gidi assured that Wom does not seek to improve the quality of its service but wants to expand its business plan to gain more clients, and explained that if they really had a lack of spectrum problem, they would not be giving away gigabytes to attract new clients. Wom has been asking the government for temporary access to the 20 MHz emergency block in the 700 MHz band due to the fact that its service had an increase in data traffic that reached 60% during confinement, which, they assure, damages quality of their services.
