Changes in the SCT: the Undersecretariat of Communications and Technological Development will disappear

It is one of the three undersecretaries in the structure of the SCT. The change occurs as part of a restructuring of the body, although there will be no changes in its functions, said the head, Jorge Arganis Díaz Leal. On April 22, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that 10 undersecretaries would disappear, among other austerity measures to face the economic crisis.

"It should be clarified that, as part of an administrative restructuring, what will eventually disappear is the position of Undersecretary of Communications, not its functions, since these are the power of the SCT in the definition of public policy on Telecommunications", as reported by the SCT in a statement Regarding the position of Salma Jalife Villalón, until now Undersecretary of Communications, it was clarified that she continues to work on projects and programs in the area.
