Dynamic Spectrum Alliance claimed for unlicensed access to 1,200 Mhz of the 6Ghz band

Martha Suarez, president of the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA), assured that she brought the proposal closer to Enacom and the ICT Secretariat and that public bodies "are considering it".

"Unlicensed spectrum is essential for the deployment of the future of mobile networks," said Suarez. With data from Cisco, she projected that 71% of mobile network traffic will be downloaded in the future over fixed wireless wi-fi networks, which is why she pointed out that “we support that unlicensed access be allowed to 1,200 Mhz of the band of 6Ghz from 5,925 to 7,125 Ghz”.

In the Conferences Copitec 2020 Cycle she asked on Friday a preview of the topic that follows the trend of the countries in the area: "There is a positive movement in the region that generates economies of scale, and massive use lowers the cost for users", she said.
