SUBTEL opened DTT transmissions in Araucaria

The Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones, SUBTEL (Telecom Regulator) took part this week in the opening of the DTT transmissions of the channel from Temuco (Araucaria, in the south of Chile) of the Universidad Autónoma de Chile. Universidad Autónoma Televisión (UATV) will be in charge of the transmissions, which include HD contents.

Today, UATV is broadcast through channel 2 of open TV, reaching the majority of Araucaria, and it is integrated to the grid of channels of local cable operators. The contents are transmitted throughout the south of Chile through Telefónica del Sur (TELSUR) and in the Metropolitan Region by the company GTD Manquehue.
