The Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) reported that at 12:00 pm on December 31 managed to release the 700 MHz band by 100%, following the completion of the analog switch. These frequencies will be aimed at network sharing to be tendered later this year.
The governing body of Gerardo Ruiz Esparza delivered more than 9.7 million digital TVs to meet the blackout. Likewise, also obtained that 537 stations across the country joined the blackout while 497 low power, between community and state, will continue their analog transmissions for one more year.
Mexico is the first country in Latin America that manages the transition to Digital Terrestrial Television.
