Antel opens infrastructure thereof to cable operators to drive convergence

Uruguay does not escape the trends of Internet content with transnational and local OTT reaching fixed Internet users through a single provider: Antel, which has a monopoly on the transmission of data, but has a vision of convergence that allows it to include OTT in its business model rather than facing them. It is the case of Vera TV operator along with its Vera+ signal and the agreements reached with Netflix, Spotify and NBA, among other global content providers.
