The government paid about US$4.5 million for official advertisement rates in networks and web during the first half of 2017. Facebook got about US$1.6 million and led the ranking with 35% of the total in this segment. Google followed by less than a half thereof. In third place was Spotify that almost tripled the amount collected by Instagram, with US$98,000 against US$36,000. Infobae website was the online news site that made the most money from government with about US$700,000. It was followed by Clarin.com (US$450,000), Lanacion.com (US$400,000) and Perfil.com (US$143,000). According to the Chief Cabinet report, in the first six months of this year, some US$98 million were distributed among national and domestic TV, national and domestic cable, AM and FM radio stations, graphic ads, public road ads, magazines, networks and web.
